#FULL SERVICE DETAILS

I need a local service, but I can't get it sorted. Can you help? Yes — task-based help. 1 · FIND Search the local Chinese market 2 · CHECK Confirm the details that matter 3 · HAND OVER A USABLE OPTION Confirmed provider + details ready for you to book or use US$20 / US$50 / US$80
01. Task-Based SupportUS$20 / US$50 / US$80 by scope
Best when one specific local problem needs more than a generic answer

Start with the situation, not a payment. We first clarify what you need, the city, timing, must-have criteria, and what a useful result looks like. I then confirm whether it is a Light, Standard, or Complex Task. For normal task work, 50% is paid to start and the remaining 50% is due when the agreed deliverable and handoff are completed and confirmed.

LIGHT TASK · US$20

One clear request. Limited moving parts.

For a focused local search, a small number of practical checks, or limited provider contact when the need is already clear.

  • One specific need in one city
  • Usually a quick search/check or contact with up to 2 providers
  • Clear answer, next step, or 1–2 usable options
  • No extended comparison or back-and-forth coordination
STANDARD TASK · US$50

More research, comparison, and one clear next step.

For a bounded task that needs more than a quick lookup: several checks or provider contacts, key details compared, and a small shortlist you can act on.

  • Requirement clarification + targeted local search
  • Check several relevant providers or options
  • Compare the details that matter, such as price, location, availability, language, or fit
  • Usually 2–3 usable options + one follow-up confirmation on the option you prefer
COMPLEX TASK · US$80

Several steps. I source, screen, compare, and coordinate.

For a deeper task with multiple moving parts, wider sourcing, repeated verification, or a more involved handoff before you can act.

  • Detailed requirement clarification + targeted local sourcing
  • Multiple-provider outreach, screening, price / availability comparison, and fit checks
  • A concise comparison deck or structured shortlist when useful
  • Follow-up coordination and a usable handoff to the option you choose
HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

From a vague local problem to a verified next step.

The exact deliverable changes by task, but the working process is usually the same.

1 · UNDERSTAND

We clarify the need first.

A short call or message confirms your city, timing, must-have criteria, previous attempts, and what success should look like.

2 · SCOPE & DEPOSIT

I confirm the level, delivery, and boundary.

You see whether the task is US$20, US$50, or US$80 before work starts. For normal task work, 50% is paid to begin.

3 · SEARCH & VERIFY

I research the local Chinese market.

I search relevant platforms and sources, contact providers when needed, and verify the live details that matter instead of forwarding raw search results.

4 · CURATE

I turn the findings into usable choices.

Depending on the task, you receive a concise written shortlist or comparison deck with practical details such as price, location, photos, contact information, and trade-offs.

5 · COORDINATE

You choose; I help move the next step forward.

When included in scope, I make the follow-up call, confirm the chosen option, arrange a time or contact handoff, and help establish a clear communication channel.

6 · CLOSE

We confirm the handoff, then close the task.

At the agreed closing milestone, you can confirm that the deliverable or handoff is usable. Where appropriate, I allow 1–2 days after the handoff / service use for that check; the remaining balance is then due, and I may invite you to leave a short review.

Light Task · US$20
For a clearly bounded request with limited search, checking, or provider contact.
Standard Task · US$50
For one bounded task that needs several checks or provider contacts, a small comparison, and a clear next step.
Complex Task · US$80
For deeper sourcing, screening, comparison, repeated verification, or coordination before a usable handoff.
Payment
The scope, delivery target, and closing milestone are confirmed first. For normal task work, 50% is paid to start and 50% is due after the agreed deliverable / handoff has been completed and you have had the agreed confirmation window (usually up to 1–2 days where appropriate). If the scope grows, I pause before doing extra work.
Delivery
Delivery may be a verified answer, usable options, a written shortlist, a comparison deck, or an agreed coordination handoff. The exact format is confirmed before work begins.
Responsibility
You decide whether to use a provider. Adapt to China does not provide or supervise the third-party service, so the provider remains responsible for the quality, safety, conduct, and outcome of its own service.

Not included: unrelated requests bundled together, unlimited outreach, ongoing personal-assistant work, account access, payment or contracts on your behalf, or medical, legal, visa, tax, financial, emergency, and other high-stakes matters. Very large or unusual requests may need a custom quote.

I need a pet-friendly place near my friend, but the listings are all in Chinese. PET ✓ AREA ✓ LIVE ✓ shortlist → choose → viewing US$20 to start + US$60 later
02. House Finding SupportUS$80 US$20 to start · US$60 later
Targeted rental search + local verification + first-viewing coordination

For newcomers who know roughly where and how they want to live, but need a local person to turn Chinese listings into a small set of verified options. I help clarify the requirements, search, contact the relevant listing side, check the practical details, organize the options, and coordinate the first viewing / handoff.

STARTUS$20

Paid after the requirements and scope are confirmed. This starts the search and local verification.

AFTER THE HANDOFFUS$60

Due after the verified shortlist is delivered and the first viewing / contact handoff has been arranged.

1 · REQUIREMENTS

We define the home you actually need.

City and target area, budget, move-in date, lease length, commute or friend location, pet needs, and other must-have criteria.

2 · SEARCH

I search the local rental market.

I look across suitable Chinese listings and local channels instead of asking you to navigate unfamiliar platforms alone.

3 · VERIFY

I contact the listing side and check live details.

Availability, rent and fees, lease timing, pet policy, location, practical fit, and your language needs are checked where relevant.

4 · COMPARE

You receive a concise comparison deck.

I organize the best options with photos, location and transport, rent / fees, key terms, contact information, and the details that matter for your decision.

5 · CHOOSE & VIEW

You choose the option; I coordinate the first viewing.

I follow up with the relevant person, confirm the time and meeting point, and can create a WeChat group for you, the showing contact, and me.

6 · HANDOFF

You meet the provider directly, with a communication bridge still open.

WeChat voice-to-text and translation can help the on-site conversation stay visible and recorded. I can follow the group remotely within the agreed scope.

Total price
US$80. US$20 to start; US$60 after the verified shortlist and first-viewing / contact handoff are arranged.
Typical delivery
One defined search brief, a targeted round of sourcing and verification, a concise shortlist / comparison deck, and coordination of the first viewing for the option you choose.
Additional rounds
A new neighborhood, substantially changed requirements, or repeated new rounds of searching may require a new scope and quote.
What I do not do
I am not your real-estate agent, lawyer, landlord, or property manager. I do not sign a lease, accept legal terms, pay rent / deposits, or make binding decisions for you.
Third-party fees
Rent, deposits, platform charges, brokerage / service fees, utilities, and any other third-party costs are separate and paid directly by you to the relevant party.
Outcome boundary
The US$60 balance is tied to the agreed shortlist and first-viewing / handoff milestone, not to whether you ultimately sign a lease. You make the final housing decision.

One important boundary: I can help you find, verify, compare, and coordinate. Contract interpretation, legal disputes, title / ownership due diligence, and any legally binding decision should be handled by the appropriate professional or by you directly.

SHANGHAI · HOME VISIT DOG WALK FEED + WATER 60-minute visit full English communication US$20 / RMB 135 photos / short update included no boarding · no cleaning
03. Pet Support · ShanghaiUS$20 / RMB 135 per 60-minute home visit
Full English pet-owner communication · currently dog walking and feeding only

A deliberately simple home-visit service for pet owners who want to communicate entirely in English. I am based near Xujiahui / Shanghai Jiao Tong University Metro Station and currently take Shanghai bookings subject to travel time and availability. Each booking is one 60-minute visit, with the time split between the agreed dog walk and/or feeding routine.

DOG WALKING

On-leash walking near your home.

I follow your normal route and instructions, keep the dog on leash, and send a short English update with photos after the visit.

FEEDING

Food and water according to your instructions.

For cats or dogs, I can provide the food you have prepared, refill water, and send an English photo / message update.

ENGLISH THROUGHOUT

You can explain the routine directly in English.

Booking details, pet notes, updates, and follow-up communication with you are all available in English.

BEFORE THE FIRST VISIT
  • Send your Shanghai location, preferred date/time, pet type, number of pets, and the service you want
  • For dogs: breed/size, normal walking routine, leash/harness setup, temperament, and any known pulling, escape, bite, or aggression issues
  • For feeding: show where the food, bowls, and water are kept and give the exact amount / routine
  • Agree on home access in advance; a temporary door code is preferred where available
CURRENTLY NOT INCLUDED
  • Boarding, pet hosting at my home, or overnight stays
  • House cleaning, litter-box cleaning, bathing, grooming, or other cleaning work
  • Dog training, off-leash walking, professional behavior handling, or dogs that cannot be handled safely
  • Medication, injections, wound care, or other medical / veterinary tasks
Price
US$20 / RMB 135 for one 60-minute home visit.
Service area
Shanghai only for this pilot. I am based near Xujiahui / Shanghai Jiao Tong University Metro Station; booking availability depends on travel time and my schedule.
Experience
I have cared for eight cats at home for about three years, so I am familiar with everyday feeding routines and cat behavior. Dog walking is offered as basic on-leash walking rather than professional training.
What you provide
The pet's usual leash/harness, food, bowls, access instructions, and any other normal supplies needed for the agreed visit.
Updates
A few photos and a short English update are included so you know the visit has been completed.
Safety boundary
Please disclose any bite history, serious aggression, escape behavior, illness, or other condition that could affect safe handling. I may decline a booking if I cannot handle it safely.

Simple scope: right now this is a home-visit walking / feeding service, not a full pet-sitting or grooming business. I do not have a boarding venue, and I am intentionally keeping the service narrow while testing demand.

Personal explanations, practical guidance, and help understanding what to do next. You are not buying 15 provider searches, calls, bookings, or completed tasks.
When a paid task applies
If you want Martin to find a provider, contact businesses, verify live service details, compare options, or coordinate a usable handoff, use Task-Based Support. If the task is specifically finding a rental home, use House Finding Support. For a Shanghai home visit to walk a dog or feed a pet, use Pet Support.
Before payment
Send two or three sample questions so Martin can confirm that they fit the Q&A service.

Simple rule: 7-Day Q&A helps you understand and decide what to do. Task-Based Support and House Finding Support are the separate services for searching, contacting, verifying, comparing, or coordinating on your behalf; Pet Support is the separate Shanghai home-visit service for dog walking or feeding.
